Head of Business Development, Sandvik’s business area Mining, Division Load and Haul, Turku.
We are looking for a Head of Business Development for Sandvik, Division Load and Haul, business area Mining Turku.
Sandvik Mining’s Load and Haul Business’ Turku Site is a global technology and manufacturing center for loaders and trucks for underground mining industry with focus on technology development and future innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers. We are now looking for a Head of Business Development. The position is permanent and located in Turku, Finland.
Your mission
The key mission is to drive the profitable growth of the Load and Haul business securing the shorter-term results together the Sales VP, and at the same time drive the development of the operative business enabling the longer-term results. Influencing the future strategy of the Division and developing commercial operations on strategic level is an essential part of this position. Work with a wide network of collaborators inside and outside the Division in the business area Mining and lead a team of experienced Area Managers.
Your key responsibilities
- Leading the global Load and Haul business development team.
- Globally developing a high performing business development organization that cooperates across functions.
- Ensuring delivery of profitable growth targets based on our division strategy in each of our sales areas.
- Overlook and analyze market trends, assess partnerships and sales effectiveness, and implement strategic initiatives positioning the division for competitive advantage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers to/and identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
- Work closely with key stakeholders including for example sales, marketing, product offering and finance teams to ensure alignment on growth initiatives.
- Track, analyze and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and KPIs providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership for continuous improvement.
Your background and key competencies we find important
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred) in a reputable university.
- Experience in relevant industry, for example mining, heavy equipment or technology.
- Experienced in working with tight deadlines and changing priorities in an international environment.
- Strategic thinking and market awareness.
- Proven ability to develop and execute growth strategies in a competitive market.
- Relationship-building and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Financial acumen and business case development.
- Results-driven with a focus on measurable outcomes.
- As we act in a global business environment, this role requires fluent English and willingness to travel occasionally.
