Training Manager, Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy, Turku

We are looking for a Training Manager for Sandvik Group´s Mining and Construction business area in Turku.

Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy’s Turku Site is a global technology and manufacturing center for loaders and trucks for underground mining industry with focus on technology development and future innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers. We are now looking for a Training Manager. The position is permanent and located in Turku, Finland.

Your mission

The Training Manager is a key player in developing technical expertise in the sales area for equipment maintenance and service. In this role, you will build a strong level of service and maintenance expertise, from product-specific master training to experienced Level 5 technicians.

You will lead and supervise the planning and implementation of training programs. You will develop and maintain an organizational-specific equipment training strategy, identify training needs through competency assessments and stakeholder feedback. You will be responsible for the overall planning, implementation and development of technical training programs for technicians, specialists, product masters and operators. The role combines modern learning, deep technical expertise and people development management. Innovative training solutions and digital learning tools play a crucial role.

Your goal is to ensure that training supports business growth, safety standards and operational excellence – and build a competitive advantage for the network, which is reflected in top-class expertise in the field.

Your background and what we find important

  • Strong technical expertise and understanding, e.g. mechanical engineering, vehicle powertrains and equipment expertise, sufficient electrical and hydraulic expertise
  • Experience in educational planning, adult education principles and the utilization of digital learning solutions and simulation technologies
  • Leadership and coaching expertise as well as good communication and stakeholder skills
  • Ability to operate in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent documentation and networking skills
  • Experience we hope for:
    • At least 6-8 years of experience
    • At least 5 years of supervisory experience and
    • background in working in a training organization is an advantage

The main working language is English. The educational requirement is a M.Sc. or B.Sc in engineering or related field, or other technical expertise related to vehicle technology, for example, that is required for the position.
